Did you know you can get fully assembled wheel sets from Yamaha for your YZ125/250 as well as your YZ250F/450F? I have been on this bandwagon for a while with the Yamaha wheelsets because quite frankly Yamaha makes the best stock OEM wheelsets out there. They are stronger than other OEM wheelsets as well as not that expensive to purchase just in case you want another set for spares. The Yamaha wheelsets (that are sold through GYTR parts) come in blue or black and even come assembled with hub, bearings pressed in, oil seals, rim, spokes, disc, sprocket (stock OEM gearing), as well as a rim Iock. All you need to do is install some rim tape (duct tape) get a tube/tire and you’re good to go!
I have ranked below the best stock wheelsets in order from best to worst but with the Yamaha wheels I don’t have to worry about rigidity from aftermarket rims or hubs and I know these wheels will last as well as handle hard hits. Another bonus about the Yamaha wheels are that they come with the disc and sprocket as other stock OEM wheels DO NOT. Not to mention that you get a complete wheel for less than 600.00 is a great buy. I usually don’t post any reviews of stock wheels but I am so impressed with these over the years I though this could be a good option for most of you Yamaha owners.
