The 2022.5 Kawasaki KX450SR is an incredible machine. The SR is better balanced with the KYB suspension versus the Showa stuff and you’re able to ride the bike harder without that on/off low end feel of the standard KX450 (because of the porting and PC muffler). I worked on some baseline suspension settings that could help any rider ranging from 170-210 pounds. The KYB is very versatile and can accommodate a wide variety of riders. The standard springs should accommodate these sized riders as well. If you’re over 210 you should look into going one step up on spring rate. Also, if you have to go more than one step up on spring rate because of your weight, you should look into a re-valve. Here are those baseline settings:
Fork:
Height: 3mm
Compression: 10 clicks out
Rebound: 9 clicks out
Shock:
Sag: 105mm
Low Speed Compression: 9 clicks out
High Speed Compression: 1 1/8 turns out
Rebound: 11
